Section III - HEALTH & FIRST AID INFORMATION

INHALATION: Irritating to respiratory tract. Remove to fresh air immediately. Consult a physician.

INGESTION: Irritating. Do not induce vomiting. If conscious, rinse mouth with water and give water to dilute material. Consult a physician immediately - stomach should be under gastroscopic view.

EYE CONTACT: Flush immediately with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Hold eyelids apart to ensure good rinsing. Risk of serious damage. Consult a physician.

SKIN CONTACT: Irritating. Wash immediately with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before re-use.

OTHER HEALTH INFORMATION: Treat as for an acid burn.

UNUSUAL FIRE & EXPLOSION HAZARDS: product is oxidizing so may decompose yielding oxygen which will support combustion. Avoid direct exposure to heat or flame.

Section VII - EMPLOYEE PROTECTION

CONTROL MEASURES: Ensure adequate ventilation. Wear protective equipment. Avoid contact. Do not inhale vapour or mist. Provision should be made for emergency shower and eye bath.

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Use with adequate ventilation use acid vapour respirator if working in mists.

PROTECTIVE CLOTHING: Wear rubber, neoprene or pvc gloves and protective clothing when using this product.

EYE PROTECTION: Wear eye protection or full face shield when handling this product.

 

Section VIII - ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS: Ensure that any leaks or spills are cleaned up.

SPILL OR LEAK PRECAUTIONS: Do not allow to flow into water supplies. Absorb any leaked material with inert absorbent (like sand). Do not use sawdust or other combustible substances. Rinse area with water.

WASTE DISPOSAL: Seek the advice of a professional disposal service. Ensure disposal method complies with local, provincial and federal regulations governing disposal.

DEGRADABILITY: Rapid biotic degradation in soil/water due to hydrolysis, decomposition and reduction. Acetic acid formed by decomposition is readily biodegradable. Bioaccumulation is not expected.
