HOW TO USE 

DISINFECTION MAT

1. The mat holds 2.65 gallons or 12 litres of disinfectant. We consider VIRKON a good virucide, bactericide and fungicide at a 1% to 2 % solution.  (Do not use iodine, chlorine or similar type disinfectants).

2. To clean the mat, hose off the top, hang upside down on a rail to drain out. If it is hung by the comers rather than over a rail, it is important to grab the mat about 3" into the mat so that both the outer, covering and the liner are held firmly. Otherwise, there is a tendency for the liner to slip down inside.

3. The changing of the solution depends on how often the mat is used. It could be every day, or it could be once a week or longer. Very little solid matter will penetrate the surface of the mat, thus there is little neutralization of the disinfectant solution.

DILUTION CHART

For Disinfecting use a rate of 7.5 gallons/1,000 sq. ft.
For Cleaning and Disinfecting use a rate of 15 gallons/1,000 sq. ft.

Hazards to Humans and Domestic Animals
DANGER: Powder is corrosive. Causes skin burns and irreversible eye damage. Harmful if swallowed, absorbed through skin, or inhaled. Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Wear protective clothing and rubber gloves. Avoid breathing dust. Wear goggles, face shield, or safety glasses. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Corrosive statement refers to powder only, not in-use solution.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
Store in a cool dry place in tightly closed container. Keep out of reach of children. Always replace lid after use. Wash empty container thoroughly and dispose of in trash. Do not mix this product with other chemicals.
