Parasite-S Slides

Fungal control on fish and fish eggs is a primary task in any fish growing operation. As aquaculturists move more and more to the use of approved products in fish production Parasite-S is increasingly being proven as a very effective fungicide. In the past other, non-approved chemicals were used to treat fungus. These chemicals were effective and easy to use and as such enjoyed wide spread popularity. Parasite-S, although proven effective has not enjoyed as much wide spread use, mostly to the difficulty in using the product. Complaints have focused on the odor of the product and difficulty in administering a precise dose.

At least one hatchery has developed a novel way of using Parasite-s, once set up this system extremely easy to use, just set a timer and walk away, they get accurate dosing with no fumes, no handling and no problems.

The following pictures show the system, the system works by pressurizing a delivery line and using pressure regulated valves that deliver a specific volume at a given pressure. This system can easily be adapted to other types of tanks, large or small.
