RECOMMENDED DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION METHOD |
- Dose for anesthesia: 5 - 10 ppm

- Carefully calculate the amount of Aquacalm
dry powder needed to achieve the desired concentration for level of
sedation or anesthesia.
- Dissolve calculated amount of Aquacalm
in holding tank.
- Mix well
- Aerate holding tank water during the entire sedation
or anesthesia period.
- Sedated fish may lose their ability to maintain upright
position or position in a stream flow. Anesthetized fish will completely
lose equilibrium. Fish undergoing anesthesia may exhibit some transient
muscle spasms.
- Always test with a small group of fish first. Fish under
sedation with low levels of Aquacalm may not exhibit any
behavioral changes from normal activity. The tranquilizing effect of
Aquacalm will be more apparent when the fish are disturbed (eg.
During capture or handling)
