Syndel Laboratories Ltd. AquaLife TMS (MS-222, tricaine methanesulfonate) is an approved fish anesthetic (DIN 02168510) used for the temporary immobilization of fish.  TMS has long been recognized as a valuable tool for the proper handling of these animals during manual spawning (fish stripping), weighing, measuring, vaccination, marking, surgical operations, transport, photography, and research.

TMS is a fine crystalline powder fish anesthetic that is mixed with water prior to use.  TMS is safe and effective for the anesthesia of fish when used as directed.

TMS received approval in 1991.  In the USA, it is sold under the name TRICAINE-S exclusively through Western Chemical Inc.

It is manufactured according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), which ensures the purity, strength, and quailty of this brand of TMS fish anesthetic.

TMS is produced at an FDA inspected and Health Canada approved manufacturing facility and it is guaranteed to be a minimum of 99% pure for the full duration of its shelf life which is 2 years.
