Aquacalm is the trade name for Metomidate hydrochloride and is used for anesthesia or sedation of fish for tagging, weight sampling, spawning, transportation, experimentation, photography in aquaria and surgery.

Aquacalm is also used for sedation of fish, often during transport, to reduce stress levels.
